PROBABLE LINE-UPS
Manchester United: Van der Sar; Fabio, Brown, Smalling, Evra; Valencia, Gibson, Carrick, Nani; Rooney, Hernandez.
Bolton Wanderers: Jaaskelainen; Steinsson, Wheater, Cahill, Robinson; Lee, Holden, Muamba, Petrov; Sturridge, Elmander.
DID YOU KNOW?
No team has had more than nine shots on target in a single Premier League match against Manchester United at Old Trafford since 2003.

United have dropped just two points at home all season – versus West Brom in a 2-2 draw.

Bolton have taken just one point from their last seven away games, and have won just twice on the road all season.

United currently have 11 players out injured: Lindegaard, Rafael, O’Shea, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evans, Hargreaves, Anderson, Fletcher, Park and Owen. However, Evans, Owen and Park could feature against Bolton.

Bolton have scored six goals in their last two matches, beating Aston Villa 3-2 at home in the league and most recently a 3-2 win at Birmingham in the FA Cup.

Ferguson will start his five-match touchline ban when Bolton visit, but United have only lost two of the 10 matches he has missed as a result of a ban. Those were 3-1 against Fulham in 2003 and 2-1 against West Ham in 2007.

There have been 29 goals in the last 10 Premier League meetings between the two sides.

Mexican striker Javier Hernandez has scored 10 goals from just 14 shots on target in the Premier League so far this season.

Wanderers have only won one of their last 16 Premier League matches against United, with that match being a narrow 1-0 victory courtesy of a first-half Nicolas Anelka goal at the Reebok Stadium on November 24, 2007. United are currently seven matches unbeaten against Bolton since then.

Bolton have only lost one of their last five Premier League matches.

LAST MEETING
Back in September, Michael Owen was the saviour for United as he scored a 73rd minute equaliser after a Nani screamer was sandwiched between goals from Zat Knight and Martin Petrov.

News:

Sunderland's resurgence will face another major test when Martin O'Neill's side travel to Chelsea on Saturday.

O'Neill has led Sunderland to five wins and one draw from seven fixtures in all competitions since taking over from sacked predecessor Steve Bruce last month.

The former Aston Villa and Celtic manager's influence has seen Sunderland rise to 10th in the Premier League, leaping eight points clear of the relegation zone and looking a much more stable outfit than with Bruce in charge.

Sunderland fans will head to London with high expectations, after they trounced Chelsea 3-0 in the corresponding fixture last term.

O'Neill recently heaped praise on former Manchester United pair Wes Brown and John O'Shea for their contributions to the club's latest success.

The pair helped Sunderland to a memorable 1-0 victory over Manchester City earlier this month, and O'Neill said they had handled expectations superbly since coming to the Stadium of Light.

"They've come here to the club and are asking for that extra responsibility which I think they are happy with," O'Neill said.

"It's something that they've taken on, they wanted this extra responsibility and it's great but it is new to them."

"Everyone at United has a certain responsibility, of course, but in the whole context of things, you still get on with your own game. They have done that and done that well."

Chelsea, meanwhile, have recovered from a four-game winless run with back-to-back wins over Wolverhampton and Portsmouth in the league and FA Cup respectively.

They have fallen off pace with the Manchester clubs and Tottenham to sit fourth, but will be keen to sew up a Champions League berth ahead of fifth-placed Arsenal.

Their home record in the 2011/12 campaign, however, has not been a pleasant one for boss Andre Villas-Boas, as they have kept just one home clean sheet in 10 Premier League games at Stamford Bridge.

In selection news, Brown, Titus Bramble, Craig Gordon and Fraizer Campbell will all be unavailable for Sunderland.

Chelsea attacker Daniel Sturridge remains in doubt for the clash with a hip injury, while John-Obi Mikel and Branislav Ivanovic (both hamstring) are also in doubt.

News:
Liverpool looks to get back to their winning form on Saturday when they host Stoke City at Anfield in a match that is crucial for both clubs.

The Reds need to bounce back after they lost their previous league match 3-0 to Manchester City at Etihad Stadium. Liverpool needs to start taking three points from all the inferior clubs they play, because if they don't then a top-four finish won't happen for them.

Stoke City are currently eighth in the Premier League table and have not lost in league play since December 21 against Manchester City. A win against Liverpool would be huge for the confidence of the club going forward as the second half of the season gets underway.

Let's look at everything you need to know about this exciting matchup.

Player to Watch for Liverpool: Andy Carroll
Will Andy Carroll ever succeed at Liverpool?
Yes No Submit Vote vote to see results
Liverpool striker Andy Carroll really needs to start finding his good form, or the club seriously needs to consider parting ways with the young forward.
Carroll's tenure at Anfield has been a disaster thus far, and with each disappointing performance there is even less hope that he will turn it around.

Carroll should be able to find success against Stoke City, who have allowed 31 goals in the league this season.

Player to Watch for Stoke City: Peter Crouch
Stoke City striker Peter Crouch scored twice in the club's last Premier League match on January 2, a 2-1 victory at Blackburn.

Crouch is always a threat in the air with his height and heading ability, but he has been a complete goal scorer for Stoke this season.

He leads the club with six goals in league play and will certainly be an attacking player to watch on Saturday.
Key Matchup: Liverpool Center-Backs vs. Stoke City Forwards

The Liverpool center-backs were not spectacular against Manchester City in their most recent league match, and defending set pieces has to be better for Kenny Dalglish's squad.

With Crouch and Kenwyne Jones giving Stoke City goal-scoring ability in the final third, Liverpool must be strong defensively or they will be beaten in the air by the talented Stoke forwards.
